Women Rule Walnut!
March is National Women’s History Month. This year’s theme is “Moving forward together and women educating & inspiring generations”.
Walnut Medical Services has been serving our community since 1984. Our company has evolved over the last 40 years from being a mostly male operation to one that is now 60% women.
Included in that 60% are many members of our management staff. Our management staff is 75% female!
This includes our CEO Jodi C. who started as a CSR and over her 34 years here worked her way up to become CEO of Walnut Medical Services and Lee Initiatives Inc. She has led Walnut to great success over the last 5 years in a very difficult industry.
Our Respiratory Department is led by Chris K. who came to Walnut 18 years ago as one of our Respiratory Therapists, she has been the supervisor of respiratory for 10 years. She manages an all-female staff that includes Alison P. and Jenny C. These ladies handle countless CPAP setups and supplies.
The Billing Department at Walnut Medical Services is led by Jodi A. and the 17 years of billing experience at Walnut. Her leadership is taking our billing staff to the next level, thanks to the work of Patty M., Jen M., and Sierra V.
Diane M. has served Walnut for 30 years and started as CSR, then moved into the billing department. Diane then took over as billing manager for many years and a few years ago moved to take over our accounts payable department.
Jess W. is our branch manager of our Bedford location and has been with Walnut for many years and provides a positive attitude to her staff and our patients. Jess manages Linda M who has worked for Walnut for over 20 years and Jenn R. Jess also oversees the 2 male delivery drivers at her location as well.
The Richland office of Walnut is staffed by newcomers Christy K. and Barb F. who are providing stability at that location and continue to learn the industry and we look forward to them having long careers here at Walnut. They took the ball and ran with it when Bonnie M. transitioned into semi-retirement after 20 plus years of full-time service at Walnut.
Joleen L. is our newest member of our management team. She moved into her current position after many years as a CSR. She is doing a great job of guiding our CSR staff which includes Jeanie R., Denise E. and Jason B.
These women have shown how dedication, determination, love for their job and our patients and how that can lead to great success in the business world.
These leaders at Walnut Medical Services help educate our staff members both male and female so they can do their jobs to the best of their ability and that they have the skill set to educate our patients on the world of insurance coverage and equipment use.
The women at Walnut Medical Services are inspirations for each other! All of them, started at the entry levels at Walnut and worked their way to the top. If anyone wants to be inspired, all you have to do is, come in and look around our offices. You will see the woman who not only lead our company, but all the other strong, talented women who greet our patients, talk to our patients and provide the great service that Walnut Medical Services has been known for!
