MASTECTOMY AND LUMPECTOMY

We accept most major medical insurance companies including:

  • Medicare

  • UPMC

  • Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield (and more)

A Prescription and some form of medical documentation is required for all mastectomy products. We will work with your doctor to obtain all needed documentation.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MASTECTOMY AND LUMPECTOMY?

MASTECTOMY - A surgical procedure to remove all breast tissue from a breast, either to treat or to prevent breast cancer. Takes longer and is more extensive than Lumpectomy, also coming with more post-surgery side effects.

LUMPECTOMY - A surgucial procedure that only removes a portion of a patient’s breast. The need for a lumpectomy is often overlooked; however, they are just as important to a patient’s comfort and confidence.
